Serenique Liability, Risk, & Wellness Participation Agreement

Effective upon booking, entry, or facility use.

Welcome to Serenique Retreat!

By visiting Serenique, booking a service, purchasing a day pass, or accessing any hydro-thermal or wellness amenity, you acknowledge that this environment is designed for intentional restoration and that participation is voluntary and undertaken at your own discretion and risk.

Your acceptance of this agreement constitutes a contractual and legally binding acknowledgment between you (“Guest”) and Serenique (“Facility”).

Assumption of Risk

Serenique offers hydro-therapy, thermal environments, mud and mineral treatments, temperature contrast experiences, aromatherapy, and other wellness services that may involve inherent physical, emotional, mental, and environmental risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to:

• Dizziness, faintness, dehydration, fatigue, nausea, or discomfort

• Increased heart rate, blood pressure changes, respiratory difficulty

• Muscle soreness or cramping

• Heat or cold sensitivity

• Skin reactions, allergic responses, or irritation

• Slip, trip, or fall hazards on wet or uneven surfaces

• Aggravation of known or unknown medical conditions

• Emotional or somatic release

By entering, you accept all risks, whether foreseeable or unpredictable.

Medical & Wellness Disclaimer

Serenique does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or clinical supervision. Guests are solely responsible for:

• Assessing personal health and fitness to participate

• Consulting a licensed medical professional prior to use

• Disclosing relevant health history if desired or necessary

Participation is not recommended if pregnant without medical approval; immunocompromised; under the influence of substances; or recovering from surgery, illness, or injury.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Michigan law, you hereby release, waive, and hold harmless Serenique, its owners, employees, practitioners, contractors, and affiliates from any claim, injury, illness, aggravation, or adverse outcome arising from your visit or participation.

This applies whether the cause is known, unknown, discovered, undiscovered, ordinary negligence, or environmental conditions.

Emergency Response Consent

In the event of distress, medical concern, or unresponsiveness, you authorize Serenique personnel to:

• Offer basic first-aid or comfort measures, and

• Contact emergency services (911) if deemed necessary

You understand that staff are not liable for the outcome of such assistance.

No Guarantees or Promised Outcomes

Serenique does not claim or guarantee results related to:

• Healing

• Cure

• Medical improvement

• Emotional outcome

• Weight or appearance change

• Mental or spiritual transformation

All experiences are individual and subjective.

Photography & Privacy Policy

• Personal photos may be taken only within your reserved area or among your own approved party.

• Photography or videography of other guests, staff, private spaces, or locker/rest areas is strictly prohibited.

• Serenique may photograph general spaces for marketing, but never identifiable guests without explicit written consent.

Product & Sensitivity Acknowledgement

Products, minerals, clays, botanicals, aromatherapy blends, and thermal environments may affect individuals differently. By participating, you acknowledge possible sensitivities or reactions and accept responsibility for discontinuing use if discomfort occurs.

Minor Participation & Guardian Responsibility

Guests must be 15+ to enter. Guests ages 15–17 must be accompanied at all times by a guardian age 21+, who assumes full responsibility for:

• Safety

• Conduct

• Policy compliance

• Resulting fees or damages

Serenique may modify minor access allowances at any time based on safety, behavior, or operational needs.

Safe Conduct & Facility Etiquette

for safety and communal peace, guests agree to:

• Walk slowly and cautiously on all wet surfaces

• Wear appropriate footwear where required

• Maintain calm, respectful behavior

• Follow staff guidance without resistance

Serenique reserves the right to end a service or visit without refund or credit if conduct disrupts safety or sanctuary.

Allergy & Sensitivity Notice:
Serenique uses natural, botanical, mineral, thermal, and aromatherapy elements that may not be suitable for all guests. While we list active ingredients and are happy to assist with selection, guests are solely responsible for disclosing allergies, sensitivities, medications, skin conditions, or medical limitations prior to service. By booking any experience, you acknowledge that Serenique is not liable for allergic or sensitivity reactions that were not disclosed or known in advance.

Acceptance & Governing Law

By booking, entering, or using any Serenique amenity, you confirm that you:

• Have read, understood, and agree to this agreement

• Are participating voluntarily

• Are solely responsible for your wellbeing

• Will not pursue legal action for risks disclosed herein

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.

By booking and/ or checking this box, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to the Serenique Liability, Risk, & Wellness Participation Agreement and accept full responsibility for my participation.
